About Blue
Blue is one good looking goofball, he is a gentle guy who thinks he's a lapdog and lovessss a good cuddle. Blue takes a wee while to warm up to new people, particularly men but once you make it into his friendship circle he reveals he is a sweet, kind hearted, sensitive dude who just wants to love and be loved.
Being a working breed mix, Blue is an active boy who enjoys playing with toys and is an expert at enrichment puzzles. His leash skills have improved immensely whilst in care but he be reactive to dogs out and about and will need a committed family to continue his training. He would ideally find a family in a quiet suburb with less foot traffic than his current inner west digs.
Blue is highly food motivated and loves to learn new tricks, he is house trained, loves the car and is good when left alone at home. He is a bit of a special guy and will need a special understanding home, we just know with time, patience and kindness Blue will continue to blossom.
MY IDEAL HOME: I love to be with people but am happy to wait for you at home while you work. I need access to the outside and my safe inside space. I am learning how to walk on the lead so you will need to be patient. A good size backyard would be perfect for me to chase balls and burn off some energy. The people in the house will understand I sometimes take a while to get to know and trust people.
MY ENERGY LEVEL: Sometimes I have a high energy level, I am very happy to chase a ball for ever and I also love learning new tricks. I am a bit like a teenager and love my mornings in bed and snuggling on the sofa.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I'm best in a home without children because of my nervous nature.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I think cats would be a great animal to round up but my foster mum says that’s not ok! I love my foster mums dog, he is a smaller older dog but we play together all the time.
Adoption details
We ask all people looking to adopt to fill in our adoption enquiry form.
For Cats: https://form.jotform.co/92940837256870
For Dogs: https://form.jotform.co/80677377750872
Please use these links rather than the 'Enquire' button on the pet's PetRescue profile to streamline your enquiry.
Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
Please consider, that a Maggie's Pet is a pet for Life, before adopting.
