Meet Lightning! š
PERSONALITY:
Lightning is a very easy going guy who loves meeting new people & dogs. He is enjoying foster care with his furry foster sister and like a classic cattle dog he loves being near his humans. He has been enjoying his daily walks in foster care and LOVES to sniffs all the new smells. He is almost housetrained & has barely had any accidents since coming into foster care! He absolutely loves pats & belly rubs, he seems to respond more to praise than to food rewards. He's in the suburbs in foster care and nothing seems to bother him, he's shown no signs of separation anxiety being left with another dog and he hasn't even barked!
TRAINING: (sleep, toilet, crate training, commands/tricks, leash walking?)
Lightning knows how to sit, he never jumps up on people and heās very gentle. He seems to know ācome hereā and is learning how to walk on lead which is going well (he only pulls to sniff things or say hello to other dogs). At the moment he spends his time in the yard with his foster sister when the humans are out and has access to inside when humans are home where he will follow you around and relax at your feet when you stop. He sleeps all through the night in his crate without a sound.
PERFECT HOME: (are they tested on children, other dogs & animals, level of exercise, acerage/suburbia, need another dog?)
Lightning will fit perfectly into a home that has the time, patience & commitment to continue his leash walking & recall. He loves meeting all dogs & people big & small. He will fit into a home with another friendly dog to keep him company & settled when the humans are out. He's not too busy for a young cattle dog and seems pretty happy with 1 or 2 walks a day if he's getting enough mental stimulation & attention at home! ~I will also need flea and worm treatments to keep me at my
optimum health, are you prepared for that?
~I've had a diet since being at the rescue of quality biscuits & raw, can you
guarantee to continue my current diet?
~ I am a good 10-20 years commitment are you 100% ready to
give me a home?
