About Dixon
Hi, I’m Dixon, a young, Black and Tan kelpie boy, and you won’t forget my name!
D is for doggy pals! I am an energetic boy and always on the go. I absolutely love wrestling with my foster dog friends and would prefer a home with a similar energy doggy pal. I also really enjoy a splash or swim and love an adventure.
I is for instincts! I am always switched on and alert to what is happening around me. This means I have very strong herding instincts and have been working on my drive to chase cars while in care.
X is for (e)xtremely smart! I didn’t have much training when I arrived, but I have quickly learned to sit, wait and sleep in my crate. My recall is now pretty good and my loose lead walking is improving too. But further training will really help me thrive.
O is for off-the-clock! When the day is done, I am happy to hang out with you and have a snuggle and a pat. I am a sweet boy who loves people, and I don’t mind calm and quieter kids. I love being involved in the everyday happenings.
N is for new family and home! I would do best in a place with heaps of space or opportunity for me to run and zoom. I would not do well living in the city / suburbs, as I find all the noises and happenings are very distracting.
Dixon has been exposed to sheep and showed plenty of natural bark and cover in the yards. With the right training, he has great potential.
What are you waiting for, apply now!
Dixon is located in VIC.
Adoption details
To apply to adopt a dog from Dogs4Jobs, you must firstly complete our adoptions application form in full at http://dogs4jobs.com.au/adoption-form/.
You can also write out your answers and email them to dogs@dogs4jobs.com.au
*Please note, due to the high volume of applications received, we will not respond to Petrescue chat messages, or enquiries to adopt a dog. You must complete our adoptions form to be considered for the dog or pup, and we will respond to this form via our email.
We will then request to complete a yard check, or for you to send in photos of your yard showing the fencing, space, shelter and any hazards etc, to confirm it is safe and secure, as well as adequate space for a working breed dog.
Following this, we will then put you in touch with the dog/s foster carer/s that you are interested in, to chat further over the phone, about whether the dog is a good fit for your family, and vice versa. We are searching for the perfect match for each dog and their needs. We offer interstate adoption on all of our dogs.
