About Hugo
ASSISTED REHOMING
Happy and loving Staffy..
From Owner:
It is with great sadness and regret that we need to look for a loving family for Hugo. This is no fault of his own and is due to a marriage breakdown and living arrangements.
Hugo is used to living on an acreage property with 1.2 metre fences and an electric perimeter in place to keep them safe. We do believe he will adapt to suburban living.
Hugo is 7 years old, microchipped and up-to-date with flea, tick and worming and vaccinations.
Hugo is such a loving and affectionate dog. He really enjoys exploring, so a big yard would really suit him. He loves to have someone around and spend time inside with company. He would suit someone who is home quite a lot or retired.
He does bark occasionally however not excessively and gets very excited easily and will jump up, but he will respond to stop and down commands.
Hugo has been comfortable and friendly to both children and unfamiliar people.
Hugo has lived with another dog but was causing some little arguments so would be best as an only dog.
Hugo has not been cat tested.
ASSISTED REHOMING
This is an assisted rehoming which means that Animals In Need Brisbane (AINB) will advertise, contact applicants and pass on applications that meet the the criteria to the owner who will make the final decision on the rehoming of the animal. AINB may also be requested to undertake an inspection of the successful applicants property to confirm safety and suitability.
There is no adoption fee for assisted rehomings but we do ask for a donation from the successful applicant (of their choosing) to AINB in recognition of the administrative and time costs incurred.
Please include all relevant information in your application, including fencing, other pets, children and ages etc.
Adoption details
We list animals for adoption on Pet Rescue as well as on our own Animals-in-Need-Brisbane website. We talk with people who contact about an animal to see what their needs and situation are. Our emphasis is on getting the right animal for the people and the right people for the animal. If everyone's needs are met things usually work out well.
Please note all our cats are indoor cats only.
If the situation sounds good we arrange a meeting. If all goes well we let people try the animal out for a couple of weeks to ensure that everyone is happy.
We keep records of all adopters, follow up to ensure all is well and undertake to take back any animal if circumstances change.
