The impact of your kindness 2020
2020 was an unforgettable year for all of us.
Thanks to your continued faith and support, we not only pushed to get more pets into Australian homes during these uncertain times but also used the unique opportunities posed by the COVID 19 pandemic (such as the surge in demand for adoptable pets) to launch new initiatives and programs to fast-track adoption and support the vital work of our member rescue organisations during this time.
Thanks to you, here are all the amazing achievements of 2020...

and kept out of the pound system via our life-saving Home2Home program which assists owners looking to find new and safe homes for their pets.
$40,000 invested towards groundbreaking urban stray cat research
We are proud co-sponsors of the pilot of the Community Cat Program; research to introduce humane cat management practices in Australia and providing free desexing for owned cats, semi-owned and urban stray cats in Rosewood Queensland.
…and Felix was the first kitten to be rehomed after being desexed and microchipped via the program!
$961, 966 worth of food

That’s a whopping 95,850 kg of free food to PetRescue member rescue organisations and community outreach organisations across the country.
