Time-saving for life-saving tools

The PetRescue platform is always improving to save time for member rescue groups so that they can focus on saving lives! 

 

Matchmakers - enquiry management made easy.

Despite having access to a free adoption platform, there were still roadblocks to rescue pets finding homes. One of these hurdles was that the rescue organisations that managed these pet adoptions were overworked, under-resourced and often struggled to respond to high volumes of adoption enquiries.  

Enter the Matchmakers Project. The goal: to find the right homes for rescue pets faster by creating free digital solutions that could lighten the load for member rescue organisations, enabling them to save more lives. These solutions included a mobile responsive website, adopter profiles, and in-platform conversations, which help save time for adopters and members. 

The bulk messenger tool encourages faster communication between adopters and rescue organisations.
 

 

The PetRescue team is always looking to improve how potential adopters connect with pets. For example, we know that seeing videos of a pet in action can really help a potential adopter fall in love quickly. Now it’s easier than ever for members to upload multiple adorable videos of the pets in their care. 

 

The exciting next phase of the Matchmakers Project is Soulmates. Leveraging tech to help pets get adopted even faster and creating more time-saving for life-saving tools for the rescue community.

PetRescue is trusted by adopters and rescue organisations alike, all over the country. Member rescue groups, shelters, vets and pounds are reputable, and reference checked, ensuring that pets for adoption are genuine rescue pets and state-by-state guidelines for listing pets are adhered to. 

 

Safety (and security) first!

Conversations between member groups and enquirers are sent securely within the PetRescue platform, with data protection at the forefront of what PetRescue does. 

PetRescue.com.au has strict security measures in place to protect personal information and data. All conversations are kept on-platform, with personal information of both potential adopters and member groups kept secure. Enquiries that include untrusted links are automatically blocked to ensure the safety of member information and data.
 

Custom integration.

Integration with external pet listing management tools (such as Sheltermate) prevents double-ups of work and frees up valuable time for busy rescue workers that can be spent saving more lives!
 

A sustainable source of revenue for rescue members.

In 2018, PetRescue implemented the Shout button for ACNC registered members. The single biggest issue facing hundreds of animal rescue groups across Australia is a lack of funding. The Shout button offers members the opportunity to make the most of the more than 25,000 daily visitors to PetRescue.com.au, allowing them to directly raise money via an eye-catching button on their pet profiles. Over $100,000* has been donated to rescue organisations via the Shout button!

 

Your support keeps PetRescue freely available to everyone, connecting more homeless pets and more families.

It costs $37 for a pet to have their own profile on PetRescue where they have the best chance to find a new home quickly and safely.
