National Pet Adoption Day is a national campaign dedicated to giving homeless pets their best chance at finding a loving family. Adopters across the country are encouraged to come and find their furry, feathery or scaly soulmates at participating PETstock stores!

 

Since 2015, PetRescue has collaborated with PETstock to bring National Pet Adoption Day to more than 100 PETstock stores every year, which has led to over 12,000 pets finding a new home such as a lucky kitty called Ginger.

Over time, this initiative helped bring adoption into the mainstream while celebrating the life-saving efforts of the Australian rescue community.  

And in 2021, the National Pet Adoption Day Campaign expanded in a big way to become National Pet Adoption Month! 

The massive support from pet-lovers and adopters for National Pet Adoption Month creates an incredible opportunity to fast-track initiatives that promote pets that need the biggest boost. Insights from the PetRescue website show that cats, big dogs and bonded pets struggle more than others to find a home. Helping to get them seen will be the focus throughout National Pet Adoption Month 2022.
