Get donations via your pet listings 💰
Who said you shouldn’t be pushing buttons?!
In spring of 2018, with the support of the amazing team at Shout for Good, we added a new donation platform to our website so that eligible PetRecue member organisations could tap into the millions of annual visitors coming to Australia's most visited charity website, PetRescue.com.au.
Our goal was to create a totally new revenue stream that would offer an ongoing source of donations direct to rescue member organisations, to help them tap into a new funding source, and to offset some of their out-of-pocket expenses like vet bills.
In news that's definitely worth shouting about, $102,468.18 has been donated directly to PetRescue member groups since the button launched, to help cover their costs of vital vet work such as desexing.
$102,468.18 - that equates to a lot of snipped dangly bits!
And it's a figure that keeps growing each month, thanks to the generosity of the amazing pet-loving people who visit PetRescue.
Here's what PetRescue members who reaped the benefits of the donate button have said:
“Since we have started using the donation button, we are getting so much more donated,” said Tammy Hargrave, manager at Alice Springs Animal Shelter.
“I think for people it is just such an easy way to give. No fuss, easy to use, and all donations we get go straight back into running our shelter and making ongoing improvements.”
Starting Over Dog Rescue (who received the highest amount since they signed up):
"We’re grateful for the donate button. Physical fundraising events are a huge output for our team, yet this is where a huge portion of our fundraising and donations tend to come from - so now we can put more of our time, energy and efforts into rescuing dogs in need and putting the money toward paying off vet bills, rather than doing 15 sausage sizzles to raise the same amount."
We’re thrilled to report that the donation button has been received with a big fat thumbs up!
