Food and Product Donation Program

Helping to feed Australia’s pets in need

Thanks to our major partner, MARS Petcare, PetRescue's national food donation program delivers millions of dollars worth of food for free to vulnerable and at-risk pets.

Thousands of tonnes of food are generously donated by Mars Petcare, and together with our partners, PetRescue manages the logistics of this massive operation - ensuring these truckloads of pet food are delivered to the right place at the right time for hundreds of rescue groups, shelters, and pounds across Australia.

What's more, the money that participating rescue organisations save through this program helps to cover the cost of other essential services required in saving the lives of Australia's homeless pets, such as vital veterinary treatments.

Product donations

Thanks to the support of some amazing organisations, PetRescue is able to organise the distribution of donated pet care goods for rescue pets all over Australia.

We often get kind offers from local, national, and global businesses that express an interest in supporting pets through donating pet care essentials.

These donations are often large - requiring coordination and national distribution to hundreds of rescue groups, shelters, and pounds - or they can be smaller, donated directly to one rescue group in urgent need.

By leveraging our relationships, partnerships and connections nationwide, our team works to distribute these generous donations to PetRescue member rescues and community outreach organisations.
