About Mia STA011501
Mia is a sweet snuggly senior who enjoys the comforts of a quiet and calm home
a home without children, canines or other felines. Mia loves her person, if you are retired or work from home Mia could be your perfect match!
From her Foster Home -
Mia is a picky eater but relishes in the food she enjoys. She has been broadening her menu while in foster care. She prefers pate and jelly style foods, and cooked chicken breast. Fancy Feast is also a favourite of hers.
Mia loves to be close to her human. When she’s not enjoying a siesta in one of her favourite spots she wants a warm lap and some loving. As soon as her foster carer sits down Mia will jump up and ‘ask permission’ to join by lightly tapping her arm or leg. She could lounge on your lap all day. She will purr for ages and reach up to ask her person for more chin and heads scratches.
Mia enjoys sleeping on the bed with her person and will let you know when she’s ready for breakfast. In typical cat fashion, she quickly falls back asleep after her morning meal.
Mia may be a senior but is very inquisitive, she enjoys exploring the nooks and crannies of her home. She likes to climb so access to a cat tower and/or areas to perch would be greatly appreciated. She enjoys her zoomies too! She likes chasing shoe laces.
Mia has great toileting manners and always uses the tray. She does vomit about once a week (hairball).
Mia's foster carer's absolutely loves having her and she settled into the home almost immediately.
If you would like more information about Mia or wish to meet her please contact our Foster Care Co-Ordinator’s -Email foster@catprotection.com.au or Phone 0400 444 734.
Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm / Sat-Sun 10am-3pm.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
We will answer any questions you have regarding cat care and help you to obtain any support you may need.
