About Nishi & Nila
***DECEMBER SPECIAL - ADOPT 2 FOR $200***
Adoption Fee: $375 for the pair
Snuggle scope:
Nila – “When I trust you, I do enjoy a bit of attention. Whilst I don't love being picked up and cuddled for more than a few seconds, I love a good pat and to snuggle in bed.”
Nishi – “sure, I love the odd pat, and I’ll sleep on you bed. I’d prefer you don’t pick me up though because I’d much rather run around and play!”
Cat scope: Both - “We really love my each other and other friendly cats, especially adults that groom us”
Dog scope: Both – “ We think they’re ok, if they’re friendly and calm.”
Child scope:
Nila – “I am not a fan of the tiny squealing tiny humans, but I don’t the bigger ones who like to play with me, as long as they're not rough!”
Nishi – “I’ll play with anyone who wants to wriggle a toy for me! Just don’t try to squish me or pick me up though!
Ideal home:
Nila – “I would love a home with my sister Nishi that is loving and warm, friendly, and ensure we will always be kept safely indoors. If you’re patient with me and show me love, I will be your loyal friend forever.”
Nishi - “As long as I’m with my sister, safe, loved, and have lots of toys inside, I’ll be super happy!”
About:
Beautiful girls Nila and Nishi were born on a local farm, along with their siblings, to one of the resident “stable cats” (i.e., horse stables). Sadly, this dear little family faced a very uncertain future on the farm being surrounded by many dangers, e.g. pythons, foxes, among many other unfriendlies (yikes!!). As such, we didn’t hesitate to take these gorgeous little bubs into care.
Since entering care at about 8 weeks of age, these babies have been socialised with children (7 & 9), other cats, and a pair of older Cocker Spaniels and are thus quite well rounded. Although Nila can be very shy when first meeting new people, once you’ve gained her trust, you’ll see her lovely, sweet little personality shine through. Once comfortable, Nila is a laid back, sweet natured little girl who loves to play, cosy up for nice pat, and snuggle up with you in bed on cold nights. Nishi, on the other hand, is very confident, and a total clown! She is a very acrobatic little girl who loves nothing more than to run around and play!! She’ll find the tiniest little piece of anything on the floor and entertain herself (and you as the spectator) for ages! Her antics are absolutely hilarious! One of her cutest quirks though is that she doesn’t meow like a normal cat; she sounds more like a squeaky toy or a bird!!
Being the happy, playful little girl’s they are, their perfect home is one filled with plenty of toys, a tall scratching post, and the odd pot of cat- grass or the like, without the need to explore the “big wide world”. Outdoor enclosures are perfectly acceptable though as well. Presently Violet and her family enjoy a large, secured outdoor deck where they get plenty of fresh air and sunlight. Apart from the deck, Nila and Nishi have never stepped a foot outside whilst in care, and thankfully don’t seem to have the desire to do so. As such, they are perfectly suited to indoor only life. They are more than happy to watch birds from the safety of a window, and wear each other out with games of tag… treats will never be refused either!!
Due to their background and bond, Nila and Nishi are inseparable. These lovely girls need a home together where they will be given the love and patience they need to adjust and feel safe and comfortable, particularly given Nila’s shy nature. It may take quite some time for her, but no doubt with love, patience, and her sister Nishi by her side they will thrive, making the loveliest of companions.
Adoption details
If Nishi & Nila sound like the perfect kitties for you, please contact us and will send you a form to arrange a meet and greet. If the meet and greet goes well and you would like to proceed to adoption, we will send you an application and, if successful, make arrangements to deliver your new baby.
Please Note: we do not allow meet & greets and adoptions to occur on the same day. Since we want our babies to find their perfect forever homes we want to make sure you take the time to consider whether the kitty is the right one for you and vice versa.
