About Taco - 4 Month Old German Shepherd X (Trial)
Make every day Taco Tuesday! Meet the delicious Taco, a German Shepherd X Kelpie puppy. Taco is a total goofball, loves a cuddle and belly rubs. He is a typical fun-loving puppy, gets into everything, and has an absolute ball. Taco has only recently come into care from a property setting, so has been out into the world even at his young age. He gets along really well with other dogs, is social and respectful of older dogs, and loves to chew on his toys and soft chews.
Taco is trying his best to learn to sit and lay down with his foster carer and overall isn’t a super needy personality type. He is very smart, and a quick learner. Taco is a super chilled little guy and does very well being outside with his doggy companions during the day for playtime and naps in the sun. He is very happy being outside on nice days when his family isn't home but has liberty access inside when they are home. Taco's breeding means he will be a loyal companion to any family setting and will grow to be a medium/large dog.
Taco will not suit being an only dog, as he thrives on the companionship of others. He was raised in a group environment and is surrounded by four other varying dog breeds in foster care. Please do not apply if you do not already have an older dog as part of your family.
We always recommend puppy training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All puppies will need plenty of affection, exercise, and training to ensure proper boundaries and routines are established. This will ensure that you get the best family member/friend possible.
Taco needs to be welcomed inside when people are home, and a crate inside for sleeping until a little bit older would be his absolute dream. He is learning to have a "place" in his foster carers' house, being the doormat at the back door which he has almost mastered in a very short time. He will be a wonderful family dog but will not be suitable for children under 5 years of age. He will need good fencing, Colorbond, or similar, approx. 6ft with no holes or gaps.
Taco's adoption fee is $700.00 which includes their desexing when they are old enough. It also includes their first two vaccinations. They have been treated for fleas and worms, and are microchipped.
Taco is in foster care in Maitland, NSW. Since they are not yet desexed, they are only available for adoption to the Lower Hunter region (Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, Maitland and Cessnock) plus Central Coast and Sydney. They’ll need to be returned to one of our approved vets for desexing when they are 5 to 6 months old.
To apply to meet Taco, please fill out our Adoption Questionnaire https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt. If you have any questions, you can send an email to mattbaker107@gmail.com
Medical notes
As Taco is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast, Maitland, and Port Stephens because he will need to be returned to a DRN-approved vet for desexing when he is approximately 5/6 months old. Please NO out-of-area applications.
