Bobby is a gorgeous boy who is looking for someone who is willing and able to continue putting in time and effort into his training to help him become the best boy. He is full of personality and everyone he meets instantly loves his goofball friendly nature.
He loves other dogs and enjoys nothing more than playing with his friends in the park. Bobby is athletic in his play style and would benefit from an equally energetic playmate in his new home.
Bobby has had some training and is able to sit and wait. Since being with his foster family Bobby has shown with the right training he can walk beautifully with a loose lead and has made good progress on recall using a long lead but can be easily distracted by other dogs and birds! He also has taken very nicely to being a jogging companion and runs great by your side!
Bobby is house trained. He can become anxious when left alone which will require further support and training in his new home. He recently stayed with a dog minder over Christmas who had a resident dog and he showed that with a constant canine companion he can be happy for short periods without his humans. A doggy friend in the house is paramount for Bobby's ongoing wellbeing.
With the right boundaries, support and training, Bobby is showing he really is the full package, He is a loving, loyal and faithful companion. He would suit a home with older children / adult only as he can be a little bouncy, where his family are around more often than not. He needs a family that is able to help him expend his energy daily and help with ongoing training. If Bobby sounds like your ideal match, he would love to hear from you.

All our dogs are desexed, C5 vaccinated with intranasal, microchipped, wormed, and flea treated. All necessary vetwork such as dentals, surgery, eye treatment are also carried out. We are no longer heartworm testing as we have not had one positive test since we began in 2006. If a dog comes to us on heartworm treatment this is continued.
Medical notes
Weight: 38kgs
Healthy boy but currently on anti-anxiety meds for hyperactivity and separation anxiety.
Adoption details
We are a community fostercare network, not a shelter, and our dogs and cats are cared for in private homes. Note that we are very careful where we rehome our dogs and cats and we have an intensive process. If you want a quick turnaround we are not the group for you. If you seem like a good match for the dog of your choice we will organise a telephone chat, a meet and greet and a property check. We offer free assistance for six weeks for any issues, a lifetime takeback policy with full refund of the adoption fee, and will always be available to offer advice.
We care for our dogs and cats and we want you to as well. We know that genuine applicants have no trouble with this process and understand that if we refuse you a dog or cat, it is because you are not the best match for that pet.
Our commitment to the dogs and cats in our care is total and we treat each one as if we are passing on a family pet. This may not suit you so we point out that there are equally great dogs and cats available in pounds, shelters and with other rescue groups.

We look forward to receiving your application.
