MY PROFILE:
He was found living with numerous strays as a colony cat in St Albans, and was clearly a sweet and naive little kitten who latched on to the older and wiser cats. Those who watched him witnessed him playing by himself with an orange someone had clearly dropped, a bit of a heartbreaking scene given the hundreds of toys our kittens in foster care have access to! He was being fed by some kind people and thankfully, with some help, he came into the care of 2nd Chance Cat Rescue at about six months old when he was trapped alongside another very pregnant cat who was looking out for him.
Cedric was very scared when he first arrived in foster care, unsure if the humans would be friends or foes (he'd probably encountered both during his life on the street). With months of gentle encouragement, pats, treats and lots of love Cedric has blossomed into a beautiful young cat ready for his forever home.
His coat now shines and is so silky. He has a big funny nose, the longest whiskers we have ever seen and sometimes sits with his mouth slightly open in rather a derpy look! He is missing is front bottom teeth - they just never grew in.
Cedric is still a little shy...fast movements can still startle him. He's a gentle and relaxed boy but he has a playful and cheeky side too. He's trying QUITE HARD not to get adopted...he loves his foster family but deserves a family of his own. He's had a couple of meet-and-greets but has just hidden when new people came into the house! Anyone who meets him will need to understand that he will take patience and the first meeting isn't a true reflection of his temperament.
He loves pats and is now enjoying cuddles and smooches...he rubs his face against your hand. He adores his toys, particularly his soft fish and mice which he carries around in his mouth which is adorable...he's finally getting to enjoy being the kitten he never got to be when he was little!
Cedric absolutely needs to be in a home with another cat...he's a colony cat through and through...even in foster care he has his tribe to make him feel comfortable (though the catering in his new colony is a big step up!). He loves other cats. He would love to be adopted with another one of his foster sibling kittens as a good option if you are looking for two. He loves the beautiful Marzipan and they are a gorgeous pair or his cheeky little mate Incy.
He isn't too fazed by the gentle resident dog so a calm dog might be okay with a slow introduction. No young kids at this stage...they'll likely want to cuddle him straight away and he'd likely find that a bit too much.
He's special, and he deserves an extra special home.
