About Pico- Dingo X
Hi my name is Pico! I'm a cheeky male dingo mix pup looking for an active home with a dog friend to keep me company.
I'm playful and outgoing, and great with people, though I can be a bit shy in busy crowds or around noisy roads. My favourite thing is ear scratches and belly rubs.
I'm good with kids, but due to the fact I will grow to a boisterous 20kg a home with active kids over 10 would be best.
I'm good in the car, but need more practice for long trips- Im used to riding in a crate but could easily learnt to ride in a car harness or on leash.
I walk well on lead, though like any puppy I sometimes pull when I'm excited. I'm learning toilet training and will need to continue this with my new family. I'm smart and food motivated and would love love love to continue my training by being enrolled in puppy school or another form of positive-reinforcement training classes.
Being a dingo mix, I'm not suitable to be let off leash outside the backyard, I know my name and come when I'm called but not all the time and I can be very cheeky and independent when it comes to recall (coming back off leash).
I love other dogs, and it would be ideal if my new home had another active dog (male, desexed) to keep me company and help build my confidence.
I can go to a home in NSW, the ACT or VIC.
Adoption details
Please note at this time pending legal advice we are unable to offer fox kit adoption to private owners.
Dingo Adoption:
1. Send an email inquiry with your name and contact details outlining your current living situation, pets and family members and anything else you think might be relevant, particularly what your house and yard are like. Remember our dingoes typically require an enclosure or modified fencing.
2. We will email you back adoption information and an application form to fill out and return to us.
3. If your application is approved- Come along to meet us and our dingoes at our Goulburn shelter or their foster carers' home and let us find the right furry family member for you. We can also come to you. We are happy to meet new prospective owners anywhere in NSW or the ACT.
4. Before you can pick up your new dingo you will also need to under a house/yard check and pay your adoption fee. No animals are rehomed unless their adoption fee is paid in full and a yard check has been completed.
