MISSING BIG DOG CUDDLES OR WANT MORE OF THEM?
Check out our video of Vincent below:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CrOFEuAscWk&feature=youtu.be
Please note: Vincent has developed a beautiful bond with Tess Elderton who is also in our care, and they would love to be rehomed together.
Vincent has been in our care for so long, through no fault of his own, as everyone who meets him loves him, and we think this brilliant boy deserves his forever home. Friendly and polite with people and dogs of all ages, Vincent is a low-key companion who enjoys a touch of fun and has abundant love to share.
Vincent is house trained and knows how to use a doggy door. He enjoys a big walk each day and never says no to an opportunity to play with other dogs. He is well-behaved on lead and has great recall at the park with good focus on his carer. Once his exercise and social time is done, Vincent is more than happy to snooze the day away, legs often in the air, with occasional short bouts of play. This boy is typically low-energy around the home, and does not need a huge amount of space to be happy. He is the ideal house dog, just so well behaved, and gives lots of kisses.
Given his affectionate and sociable nature, Vincent prefers human and canine company. If he is to be left alone for a few hours he will need a doggy friend also. A great judge of character, Vincent adjusts his play style to other dogs and is extremely tolerant of silly behaviour from others. Whilst big, he is not dominant, and will give up his toys with a sigh to other dogs and humans alike.
Vincent has had some basic training and, with his love of treats, is a great candidate for more advanced training to bond with his new people. He suffers some car sickness when stressed but has developed greater tolerance for short-medium trips while in care.
With his buttery, soft coat, affectionate and easygoing nature, Vincent is an absolute gem. If you are missing some big dog love in your life, Vincent may be your perfect match.
Adults/8 years of age +

All our dogs are desexed, C5 vaccinated with intranasal, microchipped, wormed, and flea treated. All necessary vetwork such as dentals, surgery, eye treatment are also carried out. We are no longer heartworm testing as we have not had one positive test since we began in 2006. If a dog comes to us on heartworm treatment this is continued.
Medical notes
Health: Vincent had a large lump on his throat and a surgeon has removed the salivary glands involved.
Vincent weighs 35kgs.
Adoption details
We are a community fostercare network, not a shelter, and our dogs and cats are cared for in private homes. Note that we are very careful where we rehome our dogs and cats and we have an intensive process. If you want a quick turnaround we are not the group for you. If you seem like a good match for the dog of your choice we will organise a telephone chat, a meet and greet and a property check. We offer free assistance for six weeks for any issues, a lifetime takeback policy with full refund of the adoption fee, and will always be available to offer advice.
We care for our dogs and cats and we want you to as well. We know that genuine applicants have no trouble with this process and understand that if we refuse you a dog or cat, it is because you are not the best match for that pet.
Our commitment to the dogs and cats in our care is total and we treat each one as if we are passing on a family pet. This may not suit you so we point out that there are equally great dogs and cats available in pounds, shelters and with other rescue groups.

We look forward to receiving your application.
