Sweet boy Nero

Gorgeous boy Nero was the fifth and final member of his colony to be rescued last year. I felt for him wondering where all his friends had gone but he was so trap shy it took a lot of persistence by his lovely feeder Marcio snd advice from our amazing Mel to get him off the streets of Berala.

Nero has now been in care since mid 2021. He’s been a shy boy who has taken some time to gain confidence as a house cat. His lovely foster carer Marica says:
➡️ he follows her around the house like a shadow and likes to watch what his humans are up to - he is particularly interested in cooking!
➡️ Cuddle time is morning and night and you’d better not disturb his afternoon nap!
➡️ he is fascinated by running water 💦 and watches his humans shower with interest 😂
➡️ he takes his food from his bowl and eats it off his paw 🐾
➡️ He plays a lot with his red fish stick wand and goes crazy for it 🎣
➡️ his favourite thing to watch on TV is Ratatouille
➡️ he loves to lie in the sun
➡️ He is very cuddly at night and he purrs a lot but is very shy while not in his comfort zone
➡️ he is not a lap cat and doesn't like being picked up (yet at least!)
➡️ he will sleep on the floor next to his foster mum’s side of the bed during the night
➡️ He needs someone that respects him for who he is and who is very patient but he does love human company on his own terms.

Nero needs a quiet home with a single or couple who are prepared to work with him on building his confidence but who want a quirky and loyal companion.

Nero may be ok with other cats but has been solo in foster care for some time now.
