About Chloe
This is Chloe, and regardless of all the hardship she has been through in her short life, she is literally still smiling and the sweetest girl you’ll ever meet. Chloe finally has had the chance to learn to love and we just think she is absolutely gorgeous. She absolutely loves people, being close to you and cuddling constantly. Chloe is a special girl and she needs a special home. She hasn’t had much life experience and although she loves her walks, she had never really been on the lead nor was she exposed to new dogs in her previous life. Because of this, she is what is deemed Dog Reactive. If you are interested in Chloe please look into this and see if it is something you can handle. She needs to be kept away from other dogs for now until a behavioural trainer can work with her in her new home. Her adopters will need to work with a dog trainer; this is a requirement that must be understood when applying. Chloe deserves a loving and special home because she is the most loving dog ever. When you meet her you’ll just know, she is a sweetheart.
TRAINING: Chloe is very responsive to training and knows the basic commands. She listens well. She always comes when called when off leash. She is house trained and a good house dog.
ACTIVITY LEVEL: Chloe has a moderate activity level. One walk a day is enough for her and she doesn't usually get too hyper at home and is able to settle pretty well. She is always down for multiple outings and walks so an active home could certainly suit her well! She walks well with a regular harness and doesn't often pull.
OTHER DOGS: Chloe is displaying dog reactive traits needs to always avoid interactions with other dogs. She will bark and lunge at most dogs she sees. There have been occasions where she has sniffed other dogs without undesirable behaviour but for now she needs a home with NO DOGS. Walking down main streets where dogs could be around corners and surprise her is not okay for Chloe at the moment. we want her to be adopted by someone who can work with a behavioural trainer to hopefully help her improve. She has lived with other dogs in the past and enjoyed their company but for now Chloe must be kept away from other dogs.
CATS: Not cat friendly.
CHILDREN: Chloe seems to be fine around kids from what we have seen on walks. She doesn't really take notice of them although if they were to come up to her she would just want to cuddle as always! Chloe can be boisterous and mouthy at times so she should not live with young children.
BEHAVIOURAL: When we first got Chloe she was a jumper! Because she loves people so much she just constantly wants your attention. She is very eager to please and learns quickly however. She doesn't jump up on people too often now and is corrected easily. Chloe will still need to work on a her jumping when she is excited and getting up on furniture she shouldn’t be. She also can get bitey and mouthey when she is feeling playful; a staffy lover would understand her well! She is not too destructive but has chewed a few things when left alone- she needs a home where she is part of the family and taken out on regular outings!
In terms of her personality, Chloe is very sweet and loving. She absolutely loves cuddles and being close to you. She loves snuggling up in bed under the covers. She will follow you around everywhere and needs a lot of attention! She loves her bones and chew toys. She's great with people and will ask anyone for a belly rub and you can see from her photos she has an actual smile on her face; whoever adopts Chloe will have the most beautiful companion.
NEEDS & REQUIREMENTS: Please read her specific needs here and answer to yourself if you think you can meet her requirements:
