About Joey
Hi my name is Joey. You wouldn't know by looking at my big beautiful eyes but I was actually born blind. Being blind doesn't bother me as I don't know any different. I cope quite well and am able to map areas in my mind as well as respond to voice commands to find my way with the help of a human friend.
Due to some bad experiences early on in my life, my inabilities to see and a lack of socialisation as a puppy, I am very scared of other dogs. I love people but only once I get to know them first. I need to be the only dog in my forever home so I can settle in and become confident on my own.
Because I'm still young I can get very playful and happy and because I'm blind I can sometimes run into things. It doesn't bother me but for this reason my new home should not have young children or elderly people. My forever home needs to be calm and quiet with someone who is home quite often. I get really really cold especially at night so I need to be an inside dog most of the time.
I can sit, drop, beg, roll over, stay, shake and give kisses. My best trick is that I can walk on a treadmill!! I'm super smart so my new home needs to have someone who will continue my learning. I need a strong, confident owner who can show me the world isn't such a scary place. I love to go for car rides, Bush walks and run in big open spaces where I won't hurt myself. My favourite thing to do is cuddle up on the couch with my humans all day long. I have been known to chase the cat I currently live with so it's probably best there isn't a cat in my forever home.
Please enquire if you'd like to meet me :) My adoption fee covers my desexing, vaccination and microchipping.
Medical notes
Joey is desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, flea and worm treated.
He is a healthy and happy boy apart from his blindness.
