About Tyrael
Hello I'm Tyrael, and I am a 6 year old shy and handsome short haired black cat. I arrived at my foster home in April 2023 and I was timid and cautious.
To build trust my foster carer gave me creamy treats which I love. Now I'm more confident, relaxed and playful. I especially have fun watching and chatting with the birds outside and can often be found sitting at the window.
I love to greet my foster carer when she comes home, meowing and smooching. I also like to chase my cat toys around the house and get a kick out of it when my foster carer plays too. I enjoy sitting next to my foster carer on the sofa and sometimes demand pats by gently touching her arm. I am a very gentle cat and never bite or hiss.
Although I am better suited to a quiet house with one person or a couple. I'd prefer to not live with other pets or children. Recently someone came to stay at my foster carer's house and it didn't take me long to adjust. I slowly came out of my safe space to introduce myself and went back to my routine.
I also need to get my eyes wiped regularly as I have a condition called epiphora, sometimes known as blocked tear ducts. Although I don't enjoy it, I do put up with it without biting or scratching.

Medical Notes
Tyrael has a waiver for Weight Management.
Tyrael has mild dental tartar and associated gum changes. This is very common in mature cats.
Tyrael has a condition called epiphora, sometimes known as blocked tear ducts. This condition has most likely formed as a result of a previous flu infection. Blocked tear ducts can cause the under or over production of tears, and can predispose your cat to eye infections. Therefore they may require intermittent treatment throughout their life.
I am located with my foster family in Scarborough.

Adoption details
Just browse some of the photos of our beautiful cats available for adoption or come to our shelter in Shenton Park to meet our many beautiful kitties.
Please be aware that the cats featured on this page represent only a very small portion of the total number of beautiful felines we have available for adoption. We do not include any of our kittens on this page, as the turnover for youngsters is simply too high to keep up-dating, but we always have many beautiful kittens looking for homes!
Also many of our cats and kittens are currently staying in temporary foster homes out in the community but are still looking for a loving home, so please call Cat Haven in advance if you want to make arrangements for a meeting with a foster cat.
