Bridging the Gap - Greyhound Rehoming SA is a private community group who are dedicated to assisting retired racing greyhounds with training and preparation required for the next stage of their life : Adoption with their new family.
Our dedicated volunteers have been active in the greyhound industry both in racing and rehoming for over 15 years. They understand greyhound behaviour and training and also know that greyhounds are unlike any other breed, which requires a more specialised touch when it comes to training and rehoming.
BTG Greyhound Rehoming SA offers assistance to greyhounds who are looking to find their new forever home after retirement, or for those greyhounds who find themselves requiring some help to get to that stage of adoption, or just find themselves in a rehoming situation which is beyond their control. No matter the reason, we are here to provide them with a voice and a helping paw.
BTG are always on the lookout for fantastic volunteers to help educate and rehome our beautiful greys.
You don't need to be a dog whisperer, you just need love, patience, and willingness to help out some greyhounds. The BTG group of volunteers have many years of experience and are happy to teach and guide you through the fostering process.
Fostering is the most rewarding experience. Watching that greyhound come into your home and within a few weeks- months, blossom into a wonderful pet and experience all that the big world has to offer. You will be that one who guided them along to the next part of their journey. A new Family Home!
