About Cat People of Melbourne
Finding cats for humans and humans for cats since 2016.
Cat People of Melbourne is a small, not-for-profit cat rescue group that advocates for cat responsible cat ownership and welfare in the greater Melbourne area. We specialise in rehoming much loved cats whose owners can no longer care for them, whether that's because they're ageing, or for health reasons, or because they're moving interstate or overseas.
We are entirely volunteer-based and we donate our time and resources to save the lives of cats and kittens across Melbourne and find them loving homes. We rely on the generous support of the community to enable us to do the work we do.
Cat People of Melbourne grew out of a need for a support structure for the people who provide temporary homes for cats and kittens and help them be responsibly rehomed. More importantly, Cat People is a support network for caregivers and adopters.
We are a registered charity and non-profit organisation. Donations of $2 and over are tax deductible.
