About Forgotten Souls Dog Rescue
Forgotten Souls Dog Rescue is a registered not-for-profit charity which was established in 2015. We are run entirely by unpaid volunteers, saving large breed dogs and seeing to their needs. We receive no government funding, relying upon the generosity of the public and business donations to exist and to help these beautiful souls.
All our dogs are placed into loving foster homes, this allows them greater interaction with people and encourages healthy socialisation with other domestic pets. It also gives us the chance to learn about each animals personality and provide him or her with any necessary training. We believe having animals in real homes gives them the best chance at a smooth transition into their forever home.
The FSDR team are dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and successfully rehoming larger breed dogs, those who may otherwise be killed. We are dedicated to ensuring we match each of our animals to their perfect forever home so that we do not see them displaced again. We do not, and will not, ever rehome one of our animals based on a “first come, first served” basis. Our animals will remain in foster care until their perfect match is found, no matter how long it takes!
Once in care, all our dogs receive vet work, desexing, vaccinations, microchipping, flea/worming, and any additional work they may require. If needed, our dogs are provided behavioural and/or training assistance.
We are registered with the Australian Charities and Not-For-Profits Commission and have Deductible Gift Recipient status (DGR). This means that all donations over $2 are tax deductible.
