Padmae…. A sad story 😔

A couple of weeks ago some people drove to Bunnings Alexandria where they purchased a cat carrier and some food. They returned to their car and placed their 2 x 7 month old kittens in the carrier and left them in the trolly bay with a note

By the time the staff found them someone had unzipped the carrier and Padmae was nowhere to be found. Romeo was taken to the staff room while the search began for Padmae. She was seen around the carpark so a trap was set and after 3 days and nights she was final caught and taken to safety.

Neither were chipped or desexed so they were taken to one of our vets for a health check and desexing.
When the vet examined Padmae it was found she had been early stage pregnant but due to the stress she experienced she had miscarried her kittens 😔… Can you imagine how scared she must have been for that to occur?

This is not the way to rehome your kittens! They could both have very easily got out and been run over or never seen again. And many thanks to the wonderful Bunnings staff that made sure that didn’t happen.

Unfortunately they are now in temporary only foster homes and we need to find them permanent loving homes soon so they can have the life they deserve.
