Eros

There is no doubt that Eros is absolutely STUNNING!
He has one of the most striking colourations we have seen.
His fur is silky soft, too!

Eros is a young Norwegian Forest Cat cross who, like many cats, is the result of backyard breeders and irresponsible owners failing to desex their cats, which leads to the propagation of street cat colonies.

When Eros came into care he was a little spitfire! He did not like or trust humans AT ALL, and he made this very clear to his new carers.

But our team has a way of wearing cats like him down, and it was only a matter of days before they were able to pat him. He hated it at first--he still hissed and spit and swatted--but as soon as their hands actually reached his fur, he would realise how wonderful it was to be patted, and he started to lean into it.

Eros is still a bit shy around people (especially new people and/or in new environments) but he will let you approach him and pat him now... and he purrs and purrs and purrs!

Another wonderful thing about having Eros in care is that he is starting to see that he can finally let his guard down, which means he can PLAY! He is still very much a kitten (he is estimated to only be about 6 months old), but life on the streets means that young cats have to grow up very fast, because their survival depends on it. Eros is now starting to relax and play with toys and see the fun side of life (which absolutely melts our hearts)!

We would love for Eros to find a forever home so that he can settle into a safe and loving environment once and for all. He still has a bit of work to do when it comes to confidence building, but he is no longer the spicy little sourpuss he once was. He is going to make the absolute BEST house cat!

Eros adores his feline foster siblings and has gotten along with every cat he has met whilst in our care. We think he would benefit from going to a house with a friendly cat who can continue to show him how awesome people are (but this is not necessarily a requirement).

Aside from some residual timidness around humans, Eros is a very laid back boy. He quiet and tidy and litter trained.
