BamBam - 2 Year Old Shih Tzu

BamBam is your new loyal, lovable shadow, a cuddly and energetic Shih-Tzu, approx. 2 years old.

BamBam loves being where humans are. He’ll happily go for short walks, play outside and snuggle up on the lounge next to you for naps.

Since coming in to care, BamBam has responded well to basic commands such as “come” (although he doesn’t recognise his name yet) and is great walking on the lead. He has just started playing “fetch” with his Scooby Doo soft toy which he loves (and this burns up his energy!)

BamBam will need some help learning commands such as “sit” and to use the pee pads and let you know when he needs to go outside to toilet.

BamBam currently sleeps inside on a bed downstairs from his foster family with his dog sibling. He takes a while to settle at night and would likely adapt well to sleeping closer to his humans.

BamBam’s forever home will need to have humans around more often than not. He is OK at home (doesn’t destroy things or whine) but he loves nothing more than lots of human attention. BamBam loves all humans and is friendly and loving to strangers as well as his human pack at home. Dog savvy kids over 8 years old are more ideal than young ones.

BamBam isn’t aggressive with other dogs, but he does bark at them, even if they’re bigger than him! He will need a meet and greet with a potential fur sibling, he has happily lived with his breeding partner and could likely thrive in the company of another dog. He doesn’t like cats. BamBam is curious and energetic, so a secure yard is essential. If a gate is left open, he will run.

BamBam will need regular grooming (brushing) and clipping (probably around every 4-6 weeks).

BamBam is in foster care Newcastle, NSW and is available for adoption within NSW and ACT. BamBam’s adoption fee is $700 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms and microchipped.
