Ernie

This little poppet here is Ernie.
He will need foster care, preferably with a view to adopt.

Ernie is approx 5 months old, and a crossbreed. He is around 10kg, so perhaps will be a medium sized dog when fully grown.
He currently is entire, but we can get that "sorted" quite quickly, along with a chip and vaccination.
He has already had a health check that he passed and is heartworm negative.

Ernie can be very wary of strangers.
If he’s not with someone he knows,he has had a growl. It is fear based and he has never gone to bite or lunge at anyone. He is getting heaps better as time goes on. Being in the pound probably isn't helping.
If he’s with someone he knows, he will happily approach strangers with little issues, he is just a little timid.

Ernie is just a baby, and has not been coping in the kennel area. The pound staff had him in the office for his comfort and he is a gem. He loves to cuddle and sit in your lap!

Ernie knows his basic manners but will need continuous training. He walks great on a lead. He has met small and big dogs and loves them all!
