About Tess
Introducing Tess, our adorably sweet 5-year-old Cavalier. Though Tess might initially seem a bit shy, once she gets to know you, her sweet personality shines like a diamond.
Exquisitely sensitive, Tess has a heart bursting with love for those she familiarizes herself with. Her friendly outlook on life is evident in the way her tail wiggles when she spots familiar faces. Although she is somewhat anxious initially, give her a bit of time along with a pat and a treat, and she blossoms into a delightfully affectionate dog. Surely, there's no better companion to cuddle with at the end of a long day.
When considering playmates, Tess is comfortable with dogs her size. Smaller dogs seem to put her at ease and allow her to enjoy her playtime to the fullest. She nevertheless remains a bit shy around cats, so a feline-free household would be ok, she would just need to be introduced slowly.
Whilst Tess is a well-behaved girl, she will benefit from some ongoing lead and basic training to build her confidence and help her settle into her new environment. She's intelligent - a testament to her breed - and keen to learn, making training a fun and engaging experience for both her and her new family.
Tess is looking for gentle, patient humans ready to provide her the loving environment she deserves. If you're looking for a serene, sweet-natured canine companion ready to shower you with love and devotion, Tess may just be the dog for you.
Medical notes
At the time of desexing, Tess had a dental with some extractions under GA. It was also noted that Tess has a grade 3/6 heart murmur which is to be monitored for clinical signs.

Adoption details
Our adoption process is easy. You will receive a application for the animals you are interested in. Please full that in and send it back to us.
Even though you may be first to message, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a "first in, first served basis". We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.
With all our animals, we go on what our vet has told us and what we believe the breed and age to be. We never guarantee the breed or age but take the best educated guess.
Please note: Our shelter is located in the Snowy Mountains. We are a 5 hour drive from Sydney and Melbourne and 2 to 3 hours from Canberra.
