About Fred & Mabel
Mabel and Fred are a very sweet couple who are very bonded. It appears they have been used for breeding before being dumped at the pound.
They are gentle dogs but have not had a lot of affection bestowed on them. They are very social with other small dogs but are not used to walking on lead. Being pugs they both have brachycephalic obstructive airway syndrome (BOAS) and may need specialist surgery at some stage to help with breathing issues. Fred is worse.
They came from the pound with ear and skin infections which are under treatment and improving. They are looking for a home together, preferably with a family who have had pugs before and understand their needs. They have short coats.
Mabel weighs 9.1kg and Fred 11.2kg and are both overweight.
Apartment Friendly: Could cope in an apartment environment. Regular walks or use of an artificial grass patch is suggested.
Suit Full Time Worker: Not overly needy and can entertain itself. DR recommends play time, dog toys etc.

DoggieRescue is a charitable organisation and as such we rely very much on volunteers to manage our adoptions. We answer initial adoption enquiries by email or phone and then arrange an appointment for you to meet some of our rescue dogs.
At DoggieRescue we believe our dogs deserve to find that special someone who will love them and look after them forever. We know that there are homes out there that are willing to accommodate one more little member of the family and dedicate time to their well being.
