About Puffin
Meet Puffin, a super sweet and confident bundle of joy. Puffin is not just a dog but a people person's dream. He relishes human company and thrives on affection from everyone he meets. This handsome, black-coated boy is far more interested in people than in his fellow canines. He's the kind of dog that likes to be by your side, receiving your undivided attention.
Puffin's boundless energy is showcased by the spring in his step. When he's excited, he bounces high on all fours, making us believe he'd leap over the rainbow if he could. This though means he's an expert at limbo, so secure fences are a must-have for his new family.
Although Puffin displays sociable behaviour toward other dogs, he'd prefer to be an only dog. He may feel uneasy around new canine friends, so a little regular, structured playtime with a few well-behaved dogs could be beneficial. Please note, he would not enjoy a trip to your local dog park due to his avoidance towards other dogs. But with a family who's respectful and takes the time to understand his needs, he'll thrive.
This lovely boy is eager for a family with children aged 5 and onward, promising to provide endless love. Puffin is ideally suited to a family with a moderate active lifestyle that keeps him mentally and physically satisfied, but not overwhelmed.
In terms of his living requirements, Puffin prefers not to be left alone for extended periods. Having previous experience or knowledge about the breed would be an added advantage for his prospective adopters. As we couldn't arrange for a cat test at the shelter, his behavior around cats remains undecided.
Puffin's toilet manners are still a work in progress, but his food motivation makes training an easier task. He proudly bears some old scars on his face that hint at a past life, and while they add to his distinguished look, they're purely cosmetic.
If you've got a soft spot for black dogs and are looking for a loyal companion who enjoys the simpler things in life like belly rubs and treats, Puffin might just be the fellow you're seeking!
