Bindi and Billie

Bindi has limited sight but hasn’t let it stop her from getting around extremely well. After one day in care she had worked out the doggy door and was venturing into the yard. In the weeks that followed she travelled everywhere sometimes following Billie and sometimes on her own. It got to a point she would run away from me when it was time to come in as she just loves the yard, running around and playing.
She is a very very happy confident , loving little girl.
She spends a lot of time with Billie but they will happily snooze on their own tucked away somewhere until it’s playtime again.
Billie helped Bindi immensely with her confidence in navigating the home. She will need a home where access to the outside is flat, NO STAIRS.
Bindi is mostly toilet trained, only having the occasional accident , she loves cats and children.
She loves to snuggle on the bed at night and will give a little whimper to be picked up and placed on the bed. I have a ramp for them ,she is still learning to use it.

Bindi has MICROPHTHALMIA
Usually diagnosed in young puppies, microphthalmia* literally means ‘small eye’. Due to a defect early in fetal development, the eye does not grow at the same rate as the rest of the head and therefore looks smaller than it should. The degree of visual impairment depends on the severity of the defect. If the eyeballs fill half of the openings, there is a 50% chance the puppy will be blind. If more severe, most puppies are blind.
