About Bella and Frisco aka The Lions
Let Bella and Frisco bring a new zest to your life! These two beautiful pedigree German Shepherds – Bella, eight years old, and Frisco, nine – are a truly bonded pair with so much love to give. They come with the wisdom of their years and the heartfulness of a much younger dog; proving age is merely a number.
They have been nicknamed The Lions as they are missing hair down their tails but they end with some hair at the end.
Bella and Frisco enjoy nothing more than a good gallop around the paddocks, followed by some quiet relaxation by your side. Winning over hearts with their sincere and affectionate nature, they consistently show a unique fusion of courage and gentleness. Experience with German Shepherds would be a great advantage to understand their loyal and protective nature; if you've owned this breed before, Bella and Frisco will feel like a loving memory rekindled.
These two senior beauties would thrive in a home setting without cats, but they gel well with older children who respect their space. The dogs are extremely social and love being around people, so a house full of company or a family would be wonderful for them.
Take note if you are in Queensland or Victoria! Though we're based out of Sydney, it would be feasible for you to meet Bella and Frisco if you could make the drive. In case the courageous duo doesn't fit well with your family, we would rely on you to ensure their comfortable return or assist us in finding a suitable home near your location.

Medical notes
Bella and Frisco came to us in a bad condition with fly bitten ears, fleas and ten kilos under weight.
They are thriving with their foster carer and have gained some weight and will be desexed once they have put on enough weight. Their ears are looking better.

Bella weighed 26.8kg and Frisco was 32.9 on 11 December 2023.
UPDATE: These two sweethearts now weigh: Bella 32.5kg and Frisco 41.5kg on 09 February 2024. They are both desexed and thriving. They have glossy new hair on their backs and tails and have the happiest temperaments and zest for life.

Adoption details
We have an Adoptions Manager who screens all prospective candidates as to their suitability to adopt a German Shepherd Dog.
We try to contact every one by phone but if that isn't successful we will email our application form to you, which needs to be completed and returned, or you can call us back and we can chat and complete for you. We will also ask you to provide photos of your yard and fencing to enable us to see where the dog will be kept and that they have areas of shade and shelter.
All our dogs are ready to go to their new home, so when you enquire about a dog you must be in a position to take them into your home. We are unable to hold a dog while you fix your fences or go on holiday, etc.
The successful candidate who adopts one of our dogs is provided with an information kit, ongoing support, training and advice on all aspects of feeding, training and general assistance to ensure both the new owner and our rescued dog settle into their home.
