About Hunter
Hunter has had to be very brave 💗
Name: Hunter
Gender: Male
Date of Birth: 15/08/2023
Breed: Domestic Short Hair
Colour: Black & white
Location: Davoren Park
Hunter has had to be a very brave boy. He was born with a medical condition called pectus which basically meant he had a funny shaped chest. While all of Hunter’s brothers and sisters were getting adopted, he had to stay with his foster carer until the vet could give him the all clear which, at 5 months old, they finally did!
Now Hunter is a big, healthy boy ready to find his furrever home. Hunter is a loverboy who likes to curl up on the couch with his humans and get all the pats and cuddles. Hunter loves to jump, run and play – his favourite game is chasing the broom while you try to sweep! 🤣
Hunter is such a confident boy, he will own your home in no time. Soon you won't ever remember who you were without him (except you could probably sweep up a lot faster). 😸
-People describe me as: Playful, Energetic, Zoom-king, Extrovert, Cute and Cuddly.
-How am I with dogs? I don't mind my foster dog sister. I will tell her when I've had enough of being bathed.
-How am I with other cats? I love other cats! I can be a little rough though, so I might not be best with kittens but I would adore a big sibling to play with!
-How am I with kids? I haven’t met any kids yet but I think we’ll be fine.
-My purrfect home is: I wouldn't mind a home where I can have an older sibling to play with! Preferably one that isn't too energetic but one that can keep up with me when I get the zoomies. Oh and I love food! Roast chicken would totally be right up my alley!
Hunter’s adoption fee is $120 which includes desexing, microchipping, parasite prevention, and initial F3 vaccination.

Medical notes
Hunter was diagnosed with pectus excavatum when he was a kitten but he is doing much better now. Pectus excavatum is a genetic condition where the bones and cartilage in a kitten’s chest don’t grow in the right way at first. Luckily for Hunter, his chest has grown big enough now that even though it's a an unusual shape, it doesn't affect his organs at all. The vet has confirmed he is now a healthy boy with the life expectancy of any other cat.
Adoption details
The adoption process is very easy - simply find a kitty that steals your heart and contact us!
Other Information:
Kittens and cats are adopted via home adoptions. Potential adopters are encouraged to contact SACR via phone, email or Facebook to arrange a meet 'n' greet with their selected kitten or cat.
All kittens and cats are microchipped, vaccinated, desexed and parasite treated prior to adoption. There are NO desexing contract adoptions (except in the case of cryptorchid kittens).
Pre-adoptions are available for adopters who wish to adopt a specific kitten who has not reached weight for desexing. Kittens and cats remain in the care of SACR until desexing has occurred.
