Willow was a bit of a crazy sleeper and slightly bitey when she first came into care, but this has definitely settled down. I first seen her being sold on Gumtree as a 'bad biter' when she was only 8 weeks old, this add disappeared soon after and I wondered where she had gone.
Only a few weeks after she was removed from Gumtree, I was contacted by another rescue about a bitey ferret in the exact same area as Willow had been and this ferret was the same everything. I'd found Willow once again and she was in the same predicament, of novice owners not understanding Kitts bite to communicate.
That owner who bought her luckily surrendered her to the rescue that had contacted me, so Willow was finally safe and able to start settling down. She was transferred to me to continue settling and also start mingling with other fuzzys her age, to help her mellow out.
Now Willow is desexed and ready for her forever home, she is currently living in a group so needs a home with other ferrets. This little one has her super sweet days or just straight up crazy days, it has really been interesting having her in care.
Adoption details
Meet and greet with any adoptables you are interested in is strongly advised, before making a decision on who will become a part of your family.
There is a adoption form to fill out once a decision is finalized and any adopted out are to come back into care if they no longer have a place with the adopter, this is to ensure they have a familiar place to settle back down.
There is a trial period of 2 months for all in care, during this time if the pet is not settling in well or another problem occours then a new companion can be trialled or adoption fee refunded depending on the health of the pet. Outside of the 2 month trial period advice, help and food (at cost), will still be provided.
Please do not ask for a intact rescue as refusal often offends and it's in the best interest of the companion pet they have this done first, exceptions will only be made for those well known by me.
