About Hunter
Hunter is a gentle, fun-loving boy who loves the water and will happily cool off in a kiddie pool. Hunter can be enjoying himself playing with his foster siblings, then come up to check in with you and sit for some pats & attention while the others still play.
Hunter is treat motivated and has made great progress with some basic training. He has learnt to sit & wait at mealtimes, sit & wait to go through doors & gates, walk nicely on the lead, sleep in a crate at night.
Hunter really enjoys car rides and is good meeting other dogs and people when out.
Hunter came into care positive for heartworm and has been a champ through his treatment which he is in the process of finishing.
Hunter is definitely an inside/outside dog that needs a fur sibling for company if you're not home also to be included in what the family does. He's been known to climb a ladder part way to meet you to help while you’re cleaning the gutters or fixing something. Hunter is a NO to cats or birds though, not even a maybe.
He's gentle with his foster Mum's toddler granddaughter and all round is a sweetheart with a beautiful soft coat.
Hunter will fit into any type of family situation where he is a big part of his family; as long as he included in the family, he will be a happy guy. Adopters who understand his breed will particularly benefit if they choose to have Hunter as a member or their family.
Hunter will require adopters who are committed to continuing his training to ensure that he will be the best version of himself that he can possibly be. His foster mum would love to have a chat if you would like to know any more about this special dog.
To ensure a reply, please tell us a bit about yourself and your location. Interstate adoption is available at adopter’s expense.
