About Eleanor
🌟 Meet Eleanor, our enchanting spinny girl! 🌟
Eleanor, affectionately known as Spinny, is not your ordinary kitty – she's a unique soul who has captured the hearts of our volunteers with her special charm. This sweet girl is on a journey to find her forever home, and we believe she deserves a world filled with love and understanding.
Wondering about the nickname Spinny? Well, there's a video that tells the tale. Eleanor can sometimes get a bit overwhelmed and overstimulated, leading to an endearing "spinning" episode where she playfully bites her tail. It's an adorable quirk that makes her all the more special.
In her quest for balance, Spinny is currently receiving anxiety medication to help soothe her little feline brain and, hopefully, reduce the frequency of her spins. The good news is, with love, time, and stability in her foster care, she's already showing tremendous improvement. Spinny thrives on laps – a testament to the healing power of patience and affection.
Eleanor has a unique way of seeking attention. While she may sound a bit scary with her hissing and growling, rest assured, it's all part of her charming personality. Little nips here and there are harmless, as she doesn't have the teeth to make a real impact. She's a true light in any room, and her vibrant spirit is contagious.
Now, Spinny is on the lookout for a forever home that understands her quirks, accepts her as she is, and showers her with the gentle love she truly deserves. She longs for a calm and safe space where she can be herself, and we know the right family is out there waiting to welcome her with open arms.
If you're up for the rewarding experience of bringing Eleanor into your life, don't hesitate to reach out to us! We're more than happy to discuss a foster-to-adopt arrangement or arrange a meet-and-greet so you can witness her unique charm first-hand. Eleanor is ready to spin her way into your heart and become a cherished member of your family. 💗
Medical notes
While she charms her way into your heart, it's important to know that she has Grade 2 of 4 Dental, along with slightly elevated SDMA and mild anaemia.
As mentioned above, Eleanor can sometimes get a bit overwhelmed and overstimulated, leading to an endearing "spinning" episode where she playfully bites her tail.
Despite these challenges, Eleanor's spirit shines, and with the right care, she's ready to blossom in a loving forever home.

Adoption details
Regardless of the breed of animal you are looking to adopt, our adoption process is the same.
The first step of the process involves submitting an adoption application form. The form helps us understand a little bit more about you and your household and is used to figure out whether animal is the right fit for your household and what you are looking for, and also if your household is the right fit for the animal.
After a review process, shortlisted applicants will be contacted by one of our volunteer adoption coordinators usually by phone call or message. This is an informal conversation to discuss any questions we may have about the application and re-confirm any information provided. It is usually at at this point that we will organise a Meet & Greet with you and the animal.
It is a Strong Heart’s adoption policy to arrange a Meet & Greet with the prospective family and the animal before finalising the adoption. The Meet & Greet will allow the opportunity to visit the animal and have a pat and a play with them. The foster carer will tell you a bit about the animal's personality and what they have been like for the time they’ve been in their care. It is a great opportunity to ask the carer about the animals food, sleeping and any other health requirements.
If the Meet & Greet goes well on the day, in most cases you will be able to take the animal home straight away after payment of the adoption fee. All necessary paperwork including vet work history and transfer of ownership information will be sent via email within a few days unless otherwise specified.
