About Molly and Freddy
Are you sitting at home thinking gosh my home needs a bit of chaos and some laughs in it? Well if you answer yes then look no further – introducing the two beautify furbabies Molly and Freddy
These two happy loving furbabies are looking for their furever home together - they are bonded and will only be adopted together.
Molly is an 8 year and 2 month old Dachshund and Freddy is a 7 year old mini Dachshund
So a few points on these two might sound similar for anyone who has ever owned a Dachshund.
1. Dachshund pinned
When you are relaxing watching a good movie on TV – these two will fill your chair and lap with a daschund pile! They are like lap magnets – they love to curl up on you / around you and sleep while you watch your TV.
2. Dachshund ego
Both are dog friendly however they do think they are the biggest dogs in the world…. Or they don’t care about their size and just their attitude will show up when going for a walk and meeting new dogs – they like to tell them they are boss (no one really pays that much attention)
3. They will give you sass to get away with things
Both while extremely lovely are also cheeky and will not hesitate in giving a head tilt or puppy dog eyes to get what they want.
4. Everyone says you can’t just have one Dachshund
Which is perfect as they are a bonded pair – how perfect is that?
5. Exercise
Both Molly and Freddy love to go for a walk daily – it is their social outing daily and they will vocally remind you if you haven’t’ taken them (okay I’m lying Molly and Freddy love to go for a car trip and watch people walk) however I think that if offered a walk they won’t say no cause their curiosity will better them!
6. Your Little Shadow
At first like a lot of Dachshunds Molly and Freddy can be weary of new people and new things – once they are given a chance to settle be prepared for them to follow you everywhere – please note bathrooms are not off limits to these two and don’t believe in privacy for you.
7. The Security system
Molly and Freddy will both alert you from time to time that a butterfly flapped its wings in Japan. They will also protect you from life from the mail man and any courier driver who arrives – please note they are not excessive but of course this is something that all daschund owners need to be constant aware of and know that daschunds are vocal.
8. Massive Appetite
A daschund favorite food is ……… food. Any food they will happily eat but we need to be mindful like any daschunds of their backs so we need to ensure they continue on their healthy food routine and do have daily exercise.
9. Time for Bed
Both Molly and Freddy want to sleep in your bed….. Not theirs – so we would be recommending either having a king bed or purchasing one ASAP – they are happy to share your bed with you.
10. Kids
Molly and Freddy are fine around kids but don’t want kids that will try and pick them up and carry them or be overexcited and constantly wanting to play with them so we would prefer them go to a home with kids over 10.
11. Stairs
Like any Daschund we are looking for a home for Molly and Freddy with no major stairs and of course ramps / stairs in the house for them to be able to access couches / beds etc.
12. Cats
Molly and Freddy are not tested with cats but we are thinking best not to have them
13. Time away from their humans
Molly and Freddy are no different to nearly every other Dachshund – once they are comfy in the home, they love having humans around them and get cuddles as well as exercise – being home for more than 4 hours a day by themselves would not be suitable – they thrive on human company.

Paw Prints Canine Rescue is a non for profit dog rescue located in Southeast Queensland.
All our dogs leave our care with full vet work (up-to-date vaccinated, microchipped, desexed, heart worm and intestinal wormed and flea treated).
Please note - They will not leave for their new homes until they are 12 weeks of age and have been desexed, micro-chipped and vaccinated up to date.
Please note - we are not a pound or have kennels - all our dogs stay in foster carers homes and therefore dogs are not able to be simply viewed - only approved applicants will meet the dogs.
Please Note: We do not hold any animals so please only apply if you are ready to adopt now
Please note - We don't take calls on adoption enquiries - an application must be completed
We can also be found at https://www.facebook.com/pawprintscanine/
Complete the following adoption enquiry link

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $100) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
After the 10 day trial period is completed Paw Prints Canine will send out all relevant paperwork for your new furbaby via email including the transfer of microchip form.
