About Clover
Meet sweet Clover đ
Clover has just arrived from the pound, petrified, dirty and with a sad story.
You see, Clover was abandoned, dumped in fact, in a place where humans take the things they donât want. The tip.
She was stuck in a marshy, wet area surrounded by rubbish, beside herself with fear and with no way to escape.
Our hearts broke for her. Not a friend in the world, all alone and approached by the ranger, a human who to her, was no different than the human who dumped her.
The ranger brought her to safety and we were contacted to give her a safe haven. We took her in without question and paired her up with Clip Clop, a friendly outgoing boy who will show her the ropes and help her feel safe. Heâs working his magic already and Clover has become curious of the yummy offerings we bring.
A lot of the sheep that arrive in care are so scared of humans and it makes us so sad for them. We are in such desperate need of patient homes who understand that some sheep just need a little more love and understanding. Can you offer sheep like Clover a forever home? Please message us, we want to hear from you!
Ready to Make a Difference?
Consider opening your heart and home to Clover. Over time her confidence will bloom. Clover needs âa safe haven where she can continue her journey.
We happily deliver animals to their new homes statewide.
Adoption details
Regardless of the breed of animal you are looking to adopt, our adoption process is the same.
The first step of the process involves submitting an adoption application form. The form helps us understand a little bit more about you and your household and is used to figure out whether animal is the right fit for your household and what you are looking for, and also if your household is the right fit for the animal.
After a review process, shortlisted applicants will be contacted by one of our volunteer adoption coordinators usually by phone call or message. This is an informal conversation to discuss any questions we may have about the application and re-confirm any information provided. It is usually at at this point that we will organise a Meet & Greet with you and the animal.
It is a Strong Heartâs adoption policy to arrange a Meet & Greet with the prospective family and the animal before finalising the adoption. The Meet & Greet will allow the opportunity to visit the animal and have a pat and a play with them. The foster carer will tell you a bit about the animal's personality and what they have been like for the time theyâve been in their care. It is a great opportunity to ask the carer about the animals food, sleeping and any other health requirements.
If the Meet & Greet goes well on the day, in most cases you will be able to take the animal home straight away after payment of the adoption fee. All necessary paperwork including vet work history and transfer of ownership information will be sent via email within a few days unless otherwise specified.
