About Starting Over Dog Rescue
Welcome to Starting Over Dog Rescue. We are a registered not for profit company, and have dgr status with the ATO. We are staffed totally by volunteers who either work full time or have young families. If we do not reply straight away, please be patient. We will contact you as soon as we are able to do so.
Every Year in Australia over 250 000 healthy and rehomeable dogs and cats are killed. We are a small group trying to make a difference to those statistics.
We offer wonderful family companions for adoption, saved from death row.
WHAT WE DO
A Community Network of people dedicated to saving the lives of unclaimed or unwanted Victorian pound dogs from Euthanasia.
ADOPTION INFORMATION
Starting Over Dog Transition Process
All of our dogs are placed in foster care in the community, where they are assessed for suitability over a 2 week period. Our dogs are then advertised through the PetRescue website and other methods. We love posting our dogs, current and rehomed, on facebook.

We are a non profit rescue group run solely by unpaid volunteers.
Community Support
We rely on donations for food, petrol, blankets, kennels and bedding, collars and leads to ensure our foster carers are equipped to take care of our beautiful rescued dogs.
Starting Over Dog Placement
We match the owner to the dog. Our dogs are only placed on suitability, not on first application.
